Caleb playing with Lexi

Here is Caleb playing with his best buddies, Lexi and Jed (who is video taping). Jed was nice enough to watch Caleb while Rachel and I went to a Girl's Night Out Game Night at Jamie's house! (Chris was having lots of fun at scout camp!) Caleb had just a little bit of fun, as you can see in the video. :)

Our Little Man

So as we've said before, Caleb likes to do everything his mom and dad do. Here are the top ten signs that have convinced his parents he is growing up too fast (see corresponding pictures above):

  1. Talks on the phone (cell phone or home phone--both good); All by himself, he has called Uncle Kip twice, grandpa once, and some guy in cambodia
  2. Climbs on EVERYTHING! :) Nothing is safe anymore. Just when you think it's safe, don't you worry--he will find a way to climb to get it!
  3. Computer programmer--he's done things to the computer I didn't know were possible
  4. Basketball star--has pretty good form! A little vain though, has to clap for himself after every shot that goes in!
  5. Baseball star--you should see how many home runs he has
  6. Soccer star--quite the kicker and dribbler!
  7. Can already read Louis L'Amour books :)
  8. Already driving the ladies around town in his own car
  9. It''s Caleb's job to give the cashier the debit card. And don't forget, because he WILL remind you!
  10. Will bring us his shoes and the second he has them on, sprints to the door and stands there pointing outside; I wish I knew what he wanted! :) The boy would LIVE outside if we let him!

Our Big Helper

Caleb is a huge help around the house. Anything mom and dad are doing, Caleb likes to do too. Here is a list of chores Caleb does around the house so far (see pictures above): :)

  1. Vacuums (even though the vacuum is twice his size in weight and height, he still insists on pushing it around!)
  2. Sweeps (a favorite past time of his)
  3. Dishes (more of a supervisor position as he watches us rinse)
  4. Loading dishwasher (you are in big trouble if you try to load it without him--he comes running as soon as he hears the dishwasher open)
  5. Laundry (helps gather it up, put it in the washer, and move it to the dryer)
  6. Building decks (got quite good at handing dad the right tool and nails)
  7. Brings groceries inside from the car-- he can lift things I never thought possible!
