Randomness

I know what you're thinking. (I say that a lot, huh? Maybe if the option 8 hotline doesn't work out for me, I'll moonlight as a fortune teller or do psychic readings or something.) But back to what you're thinking..."Krista actually did 4 posts in one night. Watch out. And she didn't just do one ginormous post. That is so unlike her lazy self." Just trying to keep you on your toes.

This post is pretty much just random going ons in the Dial home.

Caleb's first tp job. We just need to learn now that we do not tp ourselves.

So proud. Not that I've EVER tp'd anyone. Ever. Really.

And more funny Caleb randomness:

Good to know that if for some reason, Caleb ever loses the use of his legs...he'll probably be ok. Just needs a good dump truck.

Carson catching some air (probably not for the Grandmas to watch :) Skip ahead. Cute pictures on their way below....

Said random cute pics

Carson Meets Shamu

Is this like the Dial's 88th edition of Shamu or something?!? We must like Shamu a lot at our house or something.

We finally made it to take Carson to go see Shamu. He was SO excited the whole time we were at Sea World. Despite missing all naps that day, he was a happy little excited camper.

Here is a video of his first experience with seeing Shamu. First you'll see the trainer showing Carson and the audience how to request Shamu to come splash your section. Then you see that Carson caught on quickly. He's all about Shamu. Then you see Shamu complying with Carson's request. And finally you see Carson waving hi to Shamu.

Way to be Carson. Way to be. Caleb is so proud.

Action Packed

Last Saturday was action packed. We started the day with a Daddy Day for Joy School. Caleb recently started Joy School (a preschool that rotates to each of the participating children's houses...SO FUN!) and he LOVES it! Once a month they also have a Daddy Day where the kids get to go do something fun with their dad together as a group. This month it was going out for breakfast. So we all went and had a great time.

Next we headed to Sea World. The weather was straight up awesome!! We had such a fun time!! Carson hasn't been before, so it was fun to see how excited he was about all the animals and shows and such.

Finally we drove up to Austin for the Austin Dials version of a Fall Festival. Those Austin Dials sure know how to throw a party, that's for sure. There were hay rides

(go ahead...just pretend that you can tell with my mad photo taking abilities that they are on a hay ride. Thanks.)

A Chili cookoff (here's a shout out to #15--awesome chili! whoever you are!!) and tons of great food and lots of fun carnival games

A trunk or treat

And a movie shown on a projector at the end.

Yeah...remember that part where I said Carson had zero naps that day?

He was pretty much done when we forced him to take a picture with his brother. But we MUST take pictures, you know? Funny enough, this was really the only time he was fussy at all. Sweet boy.

Ahh. That's what weekends are supposed to be like. Action packed family time and too much fun.

No words needed. Then why did I type some? I felt the need.

11

11. It is the number of Sundays left in this year. Not that I'm counting.

My family--we provide this service sometimes. For those people at church who are just not feeling it that day--we sometimes provide a side show. A three ring circus, really. Here is our secret circus show equation:
No naps+up too late Saturday night+1pm church+ a 3 year old with too much energy+an 8 month old with too much energy+a 32 year old dad that has to sit up front=one crazy mama and pretty much a three ring circus in the middle of church sometimes.

Yesterday was one of our show days. Ask anyone that sat within a 10 foot perimeter. They'll tell you. :) So pretty much...I just can't wait for 9am church in January. And neither can all the people sitting around us.

Really, circus days have only been a handful of days in total. But when they do happen, we sure do go all out. One thing is for sure--no one can say they didn't get their money's worth. :) Good thing Caleb and Carson are so cute....

Because really, 2 minutes later I've forgotten all about the circus when they flash me one of those grins or say something hilarious. Or just do something cute. And speaking of cute, here are my two favorite cute things from the last couple days: (nice transition, huh?)

I just think it is so adorable when Carson waves at people:

Short and sweet video, huh? Unheard of for me.

And then there is Caleb.

We bought his Halloween costume the other night. I said in passing that we should try it on soon and see how it looks. Next thing I know, he sprints into the room in his birthday suit. Ready to try it on! I was like, "Ummmm...buddy....you're supposed to wear clothes under this one." But he refused and tried it on with his birthday suit. He was running all over the house yelling "Choo choo! Choo choo! Here comes Thomas the Train!" Chris and I were on the floor laughing because all we saw was this train running around and flashing us a lil' white bum. Here is to hoping (for all of YOUR sakes, my sake, and his future sake) that he can be convinced to wear clothes under his costume by Halloween.

At least Thomas the Streaker Train is not included in the three ring circus show at church. Yet.

It Begins!

Carson has started showing us his moves. He's trying to play it cool and stuff, but I can see he wants to bust a move.

Can I just say how much I LOVE kids dancing?!? Nothing like it. If only the rest of the world could bust a move as an auto response to music. The world would be so much better. And entertaining.

Seriously, so many people have told me that you just don't love the developments and stages as much the second time around with kids. I don't get it!! I am loving every stage (as is Chris) this time around with Carson just as much as we did with Caleb! It is just as exciting and fun!!!!! From starting to wave to people to the crawling and pulling himself up on everything and cruising, shaking his head no when he's full and doesn't want anymore food, to being such a daddy's boy that he busts out crying every time Chris leaves the room. SO CUTE AND SO FUN!!

People have always told us the same thing about marriage. "Oh...you just wait until you've been married 5 years." "Oh yeah, well, wait until you've been married 7 years. You'll see...It's hard...and not as fun." Or "wait until you have kids...then you'll see." Then we have one kid and people say, "Oh, you'll see. Wait until you have two kids." Whatever. Life is what you make of it. And I love my life with my little dancing fools. All craziness included.
