For the last month or so, Caleb has been obsessed with Shamu from Seaworld. He likes to reenact the Shamu show for us.
He assigns us a place on the stairs to watch the show...either high or low. When we are assigned to a lower spot on the stairs, we get splashed like the people at the Shamu show who are sitting in the splash zone down low. When we are assigned a higher spot on the stairs, we do not get splashed...just like those at the show that sit above the splash zone. For those that haven't been to the show, they have the audience chant Shamu! Shamu! while you move your arms in imitation of Shamu's tail which splashes everyone. With that explanation, here is Caleb's reenactment that happens about 10 times a day:
What a heart breaker dad, huh? Caleb just wanted his dad to be a second Shamu for double the splash...but dad just wouldn't do it for the camera. I don't get it. :) For the record...Chris has no problem joining in when the camera is not on. You should ask Chris to see it next time you run into him. :)
Ok, maybe I've been Shamu a time or two too.

Hilarious!!! Caleb is awesome!!!
Shamu better watch out! Caleb is going to give him a run for his money! He makes a great giant whale. Maybe next time Chris will perform for us?
That is seriously so funny. Caleb is such a smart little kid! I love that you get assigned to sit in the splash zone or not and get "splashed" accordingly. I also liked Chris's comment about the suckers who sit in the splash zone because their 2-year olds begged them to do it. That's great. :)
That whole high-low splash logic is pretty smart for Caleb! And we'd love to see Chris's version of Shamu sometime!
Pretty sure you could get people to pool some money together to entice Chris to participate as the second Shamu. Even Alex is willing to put up some of his cold hard cash - and that's not easy to come by when you're 11. Thanks for the fun post!
That is hilarious! I personally would pay to see Chris do Shamu. The boys loved watching Caleb reenact Shamu and even chanted along. Thanks for sharing.
