Caleb...Gymnast and Dancer

So Caleb has decided to upgrade from just doing headstands, to now also doing somersaults. He thinks he's hilarious...and I have to agree. It is pretty funny to watch.

Caleb is also quite the dancer. When we were out to dinner, he danced the WHOLE time. If that wasn't funny enough, he wasn't content to dance by himself...he wanted EVERYONE at the table to dance the WHOLE time with him. He would start to dance and then he would point at whoever was not dancing with him until they joined in the fun. If anyone dare stop, he would stop and point to them until they started dancing again. You can tell who is in charge at our house.... :) I wish I would have got more of it on video because it really was that funny, but I was too busy dancing.

San Antonio Tour Guides

Chris, Caleb, and I put on our tour guide hats for the past week or so. Chris's brother, Greg, and Greg's wife, Stacy, came to San Antonio for a visit. Thanks for coming to visit! Luckily, the weather mostly cooperated! Here is a glimpse of our week:

Of course we went downtown to the Alamo

And did lots of shopping downtown

And took the boat tour of the Riverwalk

And hit Hard Rock Cafe

We hit Sea World for two full days

We went to Austin (actually Round Rock) to see Chris's Uncle Rod and Aunt Jennifer (tons of fun, as always! Thanks, guys!)
(uh, we forgot to take any pictures...oops!)

We went to see the San Antonio LDS Temple

We had mexican food, thai food, texas barbecue, good ol burgers, jalepeno ranch from Chuys :), and I don't remember what else.

And of course we just hung out a lot and played lots of games!

Brian Regan...

Here are some clips from our favorite comedian, Brian Regan. He is straight up hilarious and totally clean. We quote him at least thrice daily. We've been lucky enough to see him live 4-5 times. If you ever get the chance...GO! He's even more hilarious in person! He has a new DVD out, too...so you should totally buy it.

Leave us a comment and let us know what you think....

Caleb's 18-Month Pictures

Hard to believe it's already been 18 months!! Here is our handsome little man's 18 month pictures! We'll try to send hard copies soon!

Settlers Tournament

Last night was Settlers night. (As a disclaimer, if you're looking at this post and wondering, "Why didn't the Dials invite me?" it's because we didn't know you play settlers! So let us know and we'll invite you next time!)

So we played two rounds--the first game was to determine where you would play in the final game.

Here are the people who came in last place during the first game, and played each other in the second game. (Notice it's ALL guys!) (Mason also took home the Air Heads Award for not collecting some of his cards every time his number was rolled through half of the game...) :)

And the biggest loser of the loser table was...Marc! Congrats Marc! We gave him lots of snickers (the candy and the laughing)!

Here are the people who came in third place in the first game, and played each other in the next game:

Here are the second placers: (Andy also took home the Sour Patch award for Unsportsmanlike Conduct).

And finally, those playing for the championship!! (Notice it's ALL girls!):

There were lots of hard fought games, but alas, the winner was....Jamie! Congrats!

If I couldn't be the winner this time, I was glad Jamie won--especially just so the winner wasn't Chris, Andy, or Jed. :) However, since I didn't win this time, we'll definitely have to play again soon.... :)

7 Random Facts About Me

So Jamie tagged me to post seven random facts about me...here goes!

1. I've been skydiving (some friends and I went the weekend before finals in college--we went the weekend before so we wouldn't waste our time studying if something happened :)

2. I've had someone's tooth come out in my head--hey, how many people can say that?!? (In a soccer game in high school, this girl went up for a head ball too late and came down and hit her mouth on my head...I'm still not sure how it happened exactly, but all I know is it hurt really bad!)

3. There are apparently a lot of Krista-look-alikes running around the world. People come up to me all the time and say, "Mary!" or "Jane?" I'm like, "uhhhh....no...better luck next time?" And then they tell me, "Wow! You look just like a friend of mine...." That and people tell me ALL the time that they think they know me from somewhere.... Probably not. Probably just know a Krista-look-alike.

4. When I had Caleb, I only had to push through 2-3 contractions. My doctor told me during the first one to "not push so hard." Huh?

5. I've been on tv before. Anyone heard of the Uncle Al Show? Oh yeah, big time stuff.

6. I love to smack talk opposing fans at any sports venue. Or in my home with BYU or Texas fans.

7. I once made a 45 minute drive each direction for a slurpy run. I had a friend who hated the music I had on in my car and was giving me a hard time about it. She even tried to jump out of my car when we were near our apartment. Sooooooo, I turned around before she could get out and decided to drive from Logan to Brigham City to "get a slurpy" just so she would have to listen to it for an hour and a half of pure fun for me. Yes, there were plenty of slurpies available in Logan, but I wanted one from Brigham City. Funny enough, the slurpy machine was broken when we got to Brigham City.

Ok, so I guess the "rules" say I'm supposed to tag 7 people now. So I'm going to tag:
1. Rachel
2. Jazmin
3. Lyssa
4. Chrissy (because I think it's hilarious when everyone teases you and tells you to GET A BLOG!)
5. Hillery (see explanation for Chrissy)
6. Jami (see explanation for Hillery)
7. Anyone else who is reading this

Another 4am party night

And speaking of more free time...Chris and I decided to go see the midnight showing of the Bourne Ultimatum last night. I'm not sure why we decided on the midnight showing. But the movie was really good. I went to take the babysitter home (at like 2:30am) and got to her house and dropped her off. I realized I had a very flat tire. I didn't want to wake our friends up since it was so late, so I called Chris who came to my rescue with Caleb in tow. It took forever because we realized too late that all the parts to the jack were not in the car, etc. etc. And we still ended up waking up our friends (and maybe the whole neighborhood?) and had them outside helping too. :) Bottom line, Caleb got to party in the middle of the night (of course he can't stay asleep when there is something exciting going on!), and we all made it to bed at 4:30am. As a side note, it takes Caleb forever to go to sleep. It doesn't matter how tired he is, as soon as we put him in his bed, he thinks it is party time. He sprints from one end of his bed to the next, and does head stands, and laughs, and talks, etc. etc. etc. (At least he doesn't cry, right? I guess.) So of course he didn't go right to sleep when we got home. :) But it was a good movie! :) And Caleb is being good today. So I guess that's all that matters.

Happy Dances

So a group of us decided to do these little file folder activities for our kids. They took waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more time than I thought they would. I think we ended up doing over 30 folders. I did the happy dance after each phase. Finally done coloring the first set. Happy Dance. Finally done coloring the second set. Happy Dance. Finally done coloring the third set. Happy Dance. Finally done cutting them all out. Happy Dance. Finally done gluing everything on the folders. Happy Dance. Finally done laminating them. Happy Dance. Finally done cutting out the laminated stuff. Happy Happy Dance! We got together and swapped them and put the velcro dots on them and now, suddenly, I feel like I have so much more free time! They all turned out really cute, and Caleb loves them, so I guess it was worth it. :)
